BD&T is an activity series for righteous, free thinking, sex positive go-getters to connect and have fun with each other.

To us, “righteous” means character and conduct that acknowledges a higher power, and is morally right or justifiable at minimum and virtuous, kind, and empathetic at best.

To us, “free thinking” means using research and critical thought to form your own opinions and beliefs, especially about relationships, religion, or politics, rather than just accepting what is officially or commonly taught or believed.

Sex-positivity generally refers to having a positive attitude about sex, respecting others’ sexual preferences and consensual sexual practices, and treating sex as a normal, healthy part of life, rather than a taboo topic or something to be ashamed of. We also include acceptance of kink, BDSM, and ethical/consensual non-monogamy in our definition of sex positivity.

Series participants mostly meet in person at scheduled activities in and around the Atlanta metro area. Participants may also connect and meet outside of the series at their discretion.

Many activities are free of charge and attendees are encouraged to BYOB/BYOW. Others have no attendance fee, but may have costs associated with the business or venue we’re patronizing (ex. dinner or a movie). Some activities have a small cost (usually >$20) to cover craft or production expenses. Fitness challenges may have a refundable deposit returned to finishers as an incentive to complete.

We expect BD&T activities to have about 5-20 participants in 2024.

We want every participant to feel safe and respected at BD&T activities. We also want to build and protect a space where it’s safe to let loose and have a good time or life enhancing experience. Because of that, we strongly expect a high standard of behavior and communication amongst participants. We expect respectful and thoughtful speech, especially in regards to someone’s identity and beliefs. We also encourage everyone to research and understand the RAINN definitions of consent as well as their #ConsentRULES. After that, we encourage everyone to open up, be their freest most authentic self, and have a blast! People who can’t meet these expectations are invited not to attend our events and will be asked to leave. We’ll also escalate and involve the appropriate local authorities when necessary.
